about

as u can probably tell by now i don't write that much when it comes to putting stuff on facebook or soundcloud or whatever, and that goes for all aliases as i reckon that the music should be able to speak for itself, but unfortunately that's not always the case, people might miss out on something good due to a lack of having prior knowledge on the music before they listen. however I also know that sometimes gratuitous writing can put people off when it comes to music for this same reason. Below is a short description of the EP and each song which makes it up.

1. intro - classic think twice. you will enjoy this one
2. lookahead - honky and strange, very much reminiscent of the EP's title. progressive, spacious synths and arrangement accompanied by drums which sound as if they're being played by dwyer & mndsgn live on stage in a little tiny box made of glitter and ice.
3. array of piebald clocks - the main motif sounds like a group of faceless angels singing a warning song. this progresses into some janky war drums and plastic synths which make you feel sick. the angels have disappeared and the piebald clocks tick tick tick
4. Brilliant Black - you are looking into the face of the biggest blackest pyramid ever and you're also stuck in a time loop. a man speaking in a foreign language is giving instructions to which time will conform.
5. backhand - you're on a night out with friends and its NICE but then somebody smashes you in the head and you're like ouch (drop) then its all fine a bit but then u get smashed again (drop 2)
6. troy - ancient rome but gantz is there DJing the trojan war.
7. critique - you're sitting in a house and all of ivy lab are helping you make a tune but this is the first time you've ever used ableton

this entire EP is quite experimental even for me
